Greenwich Green & Clean will be sponsoring an International Coastal Cleanup Day.
All non-biodegradable trash will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound for submission to the Ocean Conservancy which coordinates with organizations worldwide to analyze the pollution of the earth’s waters.
Check-in: Parking lot across from the first concession stand.
Bring gloves & buckets from home, but will be available on site.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be welcomed.
Community Service Certificate will be available
Marine debris, particularly plastics, is not only an aesthetic issue affecting the beauty of Greenwich shorelines; it threatens our economy, our wildlife and our food supply.
Cleanups - the last line of defense - require a community effort, and Greenwich Green & Clean and their partner organizations invite Greenwich residents to be the solution to plastic pollution
