The event, part of the organization’s 40th anniversary celebration, honors residents, businesses, community organizations, and projects that have helped make Greenwich more beautiful — from floral and native plantings to streetscape improvements and other landscaping visible throughout town.

The Beautification Awards have long been one of Greenwich Green & Clean’s signature ways of recognizing those who care for and enhance our shared public spaces.

Join us for an evening of recognition and celebration, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine as we honor this year’s award recipients.

Greenwich Green & Clean will be sponsoring an International Coastal Cleanup Day.

All non-biodegradable trash will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound for submission to the Ocean Conservancy which coordinates with organizations worldwide to analyze the pollution of the earth’s waters.

Check-in: Parking lot across from the first concession stand.

Bring gloves & buckets from home, but will be available on site.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be welcomed.
Community Service Certificate will be available

Greenwich Green & Clean will recognize both public and private contributions to the beauty of our town on Thursday, October 15 at Sam Bridge Nursery and Greenhouses on North Street with a festive, early evening cocktail reception.  All are invited!

Town residents, businesses and community organizations who have created attractive horticultural or environmental improvements to the town will be honored.  Floral or native plantings, streetscape and landscaping projects which enhance the property must be visible to the public.

The community is welcome to submit candidates for awards by sending pictures, taken in any season, with identifying information to info@greenwichgreenandclean.org.  The deadline for nominations is September 15.

Toast to 40 Years

We are proud to celebrate our 40th Anniversary in 2026, marking four decades of beautification, environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Since 1986, we have worked with volunteers, local businesses, and community partners to enhance Greenwich’s parks, streetscapes, and natural spaces.

To commemorate this milestone, we hosted a special 40th Anniversary Cocktail Reception on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at The Field Club of Greenwich.
